California Road Trip | Carmel

Monday morning we woke in Muir Beach at The Pelican Inn, stopped at Equator Coffee before hitting the road for Carmel. We reached Carmel hungry - so made a stop at La Bicyclette for a bite (delicious fig pizza). Post-lunch we ventured to Point Lobos State Natural Reserve to stretch our legs and take in the amazing views.  Wow. The water in the coves was turquoise, seals were swimming about -- we sipped rosé and tried to soak it all in. We later checked into our room at Mission Ranch -- where we spent happy hour sitting on the patio, watching the sheep in the meadow as the sun began to set. We hurried down to the beach to watch the sun go down, then headed into charming Carmel for dinner at Casanova. A great start to our long road trip!

For next time... We will visit when Lokal in Carmel Valley is open
