Travel | Charleston, SC | Part I

This past [long] weekend was spent in Charleston, SC with our travel buddies, the Halls. Charleston is somewhere I've been dying to explore and when we heard Garth was going to be making a stop to perform, we had to make a trip of it. What was supposed to be a 3 day trip turned into 4 (thank you bad weather for getting our flight cancelled!) Our days were stuffed full of amazing visits to bars, restaurants, historical landmarks and everything in between. Can we go back already? I apologize in advance for the many posts on this trip...

We arrived late Friday night, with only enough time to make a stop at The Cocktail Club for a night cap before heading to our Airbnb tucked right off King Street. Saturday started on a high note, grabbing coffee + biscuits from Callie's Hot Little Biscuits and walking (alot). We ventured over to Mount Pleasant and Sullivan's island for our afternoon, making stops for beers at House of Brews, lunch at Obstinate Daughter and a walk on the beach. Before we knew it, it was time to head back home to get ready for our night -- dinner at the amazing Edmund's Oast (where we enjoyed the most delicious WHOLE red snapper) and Garth concert. We loved every place we went this day SO much.

Valentine's day started with a pre-lunch snack of donuts before getting ready and venturing to Warehouse for a pre-lunch cocktail. Lunch was spent at Leon's Oyster Shop, probably our favorite stop of the whole trip. The food, the drinks, the space and atmosphere -- it just doesn't get much better than this. Our afternoon consisted of walking, sipping cocktails, watching dock dogs jump at the SEWE, and walking some more. We made stops at The Gin Joint, The Bar at Husk, and ended with dinner at Husk (+ ab-aching laughter thanks to our better halves).
