Playing just a bit of catch up after being completely removed from just about everything! January flew by in anticipation for our little girls arrival. What a crazy feeling it is to be a mom. I'm not going to lie, it felt like a bit of a dream at first and took some time to truly feel like a "mom," but man is it the most wonderful thing in the world. It is really something so indescribable it has to be experienced first hand to fully understand.
We thank our lucky stars often for our sweet Grey Roegner Reinhardt. Born on February 10, 2017 at 7:40 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Induced a week and a half early, our little peanut weighed in at a whole 5 lbs 13 oz and 19 inches long. She is 12 weeks today, and I literally don't know where the past 3 months went. They sure flew by!!
After spending a couple nights at the hospital (with a surprise visit from molly + kiddos!!!!!), we headed home where we surrounded by family who helped get us acquainted to this new world of parenthood. I am so appreciative to have family in town -- I can honestly say, I don't know how people do it without them -- major props! Observing my mom and sister with Grey made me more confident, comfortable and relaxed in this new role of mine. She's been the perfect addition to this crazy family of ours -- loved by her cousins (who smother her in kisses and always want to hold her), loved by all the pups and loves to be outside on walks or exploring the farm.
At the end of the month, her first friend was born, Henry Hall. She slept through their first meeting.
