This weekend E and I escaped the city for a weekend in Saugatuck! It worked out just perfectly, as Dad was heading there too. We drove up Friday, just in time for dinner at Phil's and Sand Bar for the World Series (way to go Cards!!). Saturday we woke up early, grabbed coffee at Uncommon Grounds and went to Clearbrook for some golf. Mother Nature sure was kind -- we had beautiful fall weather. After golf we grabbed lunch and toured around Saugatuck. It had been 10+ years that I had been there and wanted to go see Susie and Papas old house, Douglas Beach, Mount Baldy, etc. The evening consisted of bowling, the Buckeyes and Butler burgers. Sunday was lazy, as we did not want to head back to the city. A tad chillier and no sun -- we spent majority of the day watching horror movies to get us in the Halloween spirit. We will be spending many many weekends in Saugatuck once it is warm out again! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
