Try it Tuesday-Chicago #20

WOW. I was pleasantly surprised by The Bedford. Actually blown away. I'd heard mixed reviews, but when it comes down to the history and the food -- this place is spectacular. The interior decorating on the other hand, should have been left to A. We had some amazing things in addition to champagne and oysters (their Tuesday night special!):

horseradish gnocchi: short rib ragout, roasted carrot puree, parsnip chips, shaved marrow
"cassoulet": toulouse sausage, white beans, duck confit, pork belly, slicked duck breast, duck jus, pickled celery, herb crumb
creamed kale: garlic bechamel

They even have La Colombe... I think this will be a place I take the family on their next visit.
