Fall in Michigan

This weekend we headed over to Saugatuck. We find it to be the perfect place to escape the busy city. We arrived Friday night, ordered Phil's carry-out and had a lazy night in -- eating on our laps and watching Homeland (thank you Meg & Nathan for the recommendation!)

Saturday morning we grabbed Uncommon Grounds before heading to Clearbrook for some golf. This course is the best in the fall! After golf we tried something new and headed up north to Holland and grabbed lunch at Butch's. A rainy afternoon meant naps and more Homeland at the apartment. Before we knew it it was Buckeye time, so we headed to The Butler and grabbed seats at the bar to watch the great game!

We woke Sunday, headed to Ida Reds (another new spot for us) for a delicious breakfast then departed Saugatuck for Fennville. Our goal: pies & pumpkins. We stopped at Crane's Orchard to get cherry pie (E's favorite) and some apple cider (my Fall favorite). Our next stop was to get pumpkins. Just down the road we went through wagons of pumpkins and found our perfect canvas'. Home we came and now sit -- watching football and enjoying our pie and cider. Hope everyone had a great Fall weekend too! Happy October :)
