Sunday in the City

After a SB chai + Sunday Morning, we hopped on our bikes and went for Brunch at Carriage House. This is another place we have been wanting to go for quite some time and were not disappointed. Atmosphere and food were both really great! We tried hard not to go with our usual brunch order -- fried chicken + waffles & bisuits + gravy and went with...

Smoked ham: white bread, georgia gouda, mustard mornay, egg (highly recommend)
Green tomato: pickled shrimp, smoked tomato creme fraiche, hot sauce vinaigrette, fried egg
Carriage House mimosa: miller high life, buffalo trace bourbon, fresh squeezed oj, orange bitters

Yum. Will definitely bring family back here when they're in town. The rest of the afternoon was spent lounging at home -- tidying the apartment and watching Gangster Squad. We cooked a wonderful dinner: brussel sprouts w/ prosciutto + oven baked potatoes (cut potatoes almost all the way through, drizzle butter, salt, & pepper on top -- put in oven for 40 minutes @ 425 degrees. perfection) + incredible steak & bread from Publican Quality Meats. Hope everyone had a great weekend too!!
