Busy Busy Weekend

Where do I even begin... we had one very busy weekend.

Friday: Pat Green @ Joe's on Weed Street. E & I gathered with the boys at our apartment for drinks before heading to the show. We met Sam & Andrew and special guests Meg & SJ who came in town for the weekend! Pat was great as always -- he's coming back in July and we're already looking forward to seeing him again!

Saturday: La Colombe + Little Goat + Gilt Warehouse Sale + Meg's Birthday Party. Busy. The morning kicked off with a trip to the West Loop. We put our name in at Little Goat, then headed over to the family favorite, La Colombe, for a pre-breakfast coffee date. Breakfast was amazing -- as expected from Stephanie Izard. Will definitely re-do this morning trip more often, especially when the Louis crew comes into town next. After breakfast we walked to the Gilt Warehouse Sale -- grabbed a mimosa and browsed some beautiful things. Though we walked away empty handed, I would definitely attend again -- only if we purchased tickets to the first time slot. We were enjoying exploring so much we continued on, heading North towards home and stopping along the way. Before I knew it it was birthday dinner + party time. The girls all headed to Cafe Ba-Ba-Reedba for dinner before heading to Zella's for the real party. Such a fun group -- we had a great night. Happy Birthday Meggle!!

Sunday: A cozy morning following a busy day -- sipping Starbucks + studying (E) + reading (me) + watching Georgetown lacrosse. Then it was time to be busy again -- we headed to Wrigleyville to go to our first game of the year, Cubs vs. Giants. Dressed in orange, I cheered on SF, while E sided with the underdogs (but dressed for the Giants). What a beautiful day we had -- it was so nice to feel HOT and soak up some much needed Vitamin D. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!! Sorry for the lengthy catch-up family + friends!
