London: Part II

Wednesday: We woke up, grabbed Paul's sandwiches for a picnic lunch, hopped on the tube for Little Venice and started our adventure. Our day was spent on Regent Canal on the Lady A, going through London Zoo to Camden Lock -- picnicking and taking in the beautiful sites. After our ride we ventured through Camden Lock, headed to Harrod's (wow), then back to the hotel to prep for our big night. The boys and I spent the night out at Wembley Stadium watching England vs. Ireland in an international friendly. This was SO fun and such a cool experience. We had amazing seats (thanks S) and got to witness the crazy crowds and rowdy Ireland fans throwing smoke bombs onto the field. Take me back!

Thursday: We started our day with a visit to the Tower of London -- so neat. Big crowds caused us not to do a full tour, but we explored and enjoyed that. Afterwards we headed to 1 Lombard Street for lunch and delicious Pimm's Cups (in the financial district on a weekday, we were the only ones not in suits -- oops). We then hopped on the tube and headed to Notting Hill. This place is so cute and just as I'd imagined it -- beautiful streets, pastel buildings and cute boutiques. After devouring tasty cupcakes from The Hummingbird Bakery we headed home to get ready for dinner. American Bar pre-dinner cocktails before Moti Mahal for an Indian dinner (probably wouldn't recommend, mainly for atmosphere).

Friday: Our last day :( We made sure to take full advantage of our remaining time and the beautiful weather. Our day consisted of wandering along the Thames, exploring Primrose Hill (my favorite neighborhood), a stop at Melrose and Morgan to pack a picnic (amazing), a train ride & picnic at Kew Gardens. Our evening consisted of a bottle of wine at Gordon's Wine Bar (a must), a Gatsby at Beauforts and dinner at Bibendum Oyster Bar. Could not have had a more perfect last day.

Special thanks to A+S for this wonderful trip. We had SO much fun and it wouldn't have been possible without the two of you. Counting down the days until we all get to reunite. You guys are the best. Many thanks :)
