The review: Well this was one heck of a TiT -- not only did we get to try out 2 awesome places, but got to share it with Matt and Lindsey. We started the night with cocktails at The Whistler, which was another Gallivant rec. We went pre-live music, but are so in love with the cocktails we have to go back asap (live music 7 nights a week)! This place is super quaint and intimate -- I just love it. Afterwards we walked down the street to try out the new Bavarian beer hall, The Radler. I really like the vibe they are going for -- though I don't think it's totally there, it's a pretty awesome spot. We enjoyed great beer and some of the best German food I've had. I love The Publican, but this place is a step in the more casual direction, which Chicago was in desperate need of! Being so close to one another, I would highly recommend hitting up these places for a fun night out!
