The review: It's only fitting that we hit up Brendan Sodikoff's (Au Cheval, Maude's, Doughnut Vault) new Texas-style BBQ place right after we get back from Austin. It really was perfect timing, as we could compare this spot to mouth watering La Barbecue. This was 'quiet' opening night of Green Street, which made it easy to grab a table and get drinks -- will be interesting to see how this place does! Sodikoff nails atmosphere everywhere including this place, as its an old warehouse that had little to nothing done to it. Getting to the restaurant is part of the fun and unknown to a passerby -- 2nd unmarked door down an alley in the West Loop. The food was good (especially the short rib, pulled pork and baked beans) and the cocktails just as great. We will for sure be back here! Afterwards we wandered across the alley to another spot that goes unknown to most -- RM. This place has been on my list (for outdoor patio / wine) so we had to stop by. Though sipping cocktails by the fire and snacking on macaroons was cozy -- I think we will only be back here during summer where we can enjoy the alley patio. Another great TiT :)
