The place: Kinmont

The eats:
Wild gulf shrimp cocktail
Door county whitefish chowder
Simple salad; local greens, brioche croutons, champagne vinaigrette
Steak tartare; capers, pickled onion, grilled bread, calabrese chili

The review: We finally headed to Kinmont, a spot that had been on our list for quite some time. I was a little underwhelmed. The food was fine and atmosphere OK. They pride themselves on serving sustainable seafood, which is great -- but nothing about this place wowed us. I don't think we will be back (their awkward voicemail the following day didn't help either).
