Cider + Sunset

After our day on the water, we were in much need of a regroup. After a quick refresh, we were on the move…

To Evergreen Lane Creamery to pick up fresh (and the most delicious) cheese. The creamery is a small house on a farm in Fennville -- the front room has a fridge of various amazing cheeses and you pay on the honor system. We had the opportunity to meet the owners and learn more about the cheese we were about to consume and it was so wonderful.

To Virtue Cider for some cider tasting. This place is the best. The whole vibe and experience is perfect. The staff is knowledgeable and super nice. The cider is delicious, no surprise there, as the founder was previously the brewmaster at Goose Island in Chicago. After tasting all 7 they had on draft, we grabbed a pint of our favorites and took to the patio to enjoy our drink and a cheese plate.

(^ they even have custom Heritage bikes!)

To The Annex for a quick drink on the deck. Located right next to Coral Gables, you can listen in on their live music on the patio, but avoid the crowd by sitting next door!

To the beach for the sunset. Well worth it -- that sunset was insanely beautiful. I think the pictures speak for themselves!

(^oh yeah, we first had to figure out a way to get out of the driveway… being blocked in and needing to catch the sunset, we just drove down the sidewalk for an entire block with help from the locals)

Before heading back to the city on Sunday we stopped by Lucy's Little Kitchen for a quick bite to eat. Owned by the same people who have Douglas' Everyday People Cafe, we had to check it out! Al fresco dining only, we couldn't pass it up on such a beautiful day. This place is just as I expected, and I loved it.
